Jonathan
M. Davis, MD
Dr. Davis is a fellowship-trained
interventional cardiologist.
He is a graduate of Loyola College Prep in Shreveport, Louisiana
and Texas A&M University in College Station. He earned his
medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine
in Shreveport, where he was named the “American Heart Association
Student Scholar in Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke” and
was given the Adrian F. Reed Memorial and the Meneely Physician
Scientist awards.

Dr.
Davis completed his internal medicine residency at the University
of Alabama in Birmingham, where he earned the Cobbs Award for Excellence
and was chosen to serve an additional year as chief resident and
instructor of medicine. He completed general cardiology and interventional
cardiology fellowships at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical
Center (formerly Bowman Gray) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina,
where he was selected chief cardiology fellow. He has published
eight scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a reviewer
for the American Board of Internal Medicine Cardiovascular Medicine
section.
Dr. Davis joined Cardiology Associates in 2008. His practice includes
coronary and peripheral vascular interventions, PFO and other atrial
septal defect closure, general cardiology, as well as transesophageal
echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, coronary CT angiography, and
intravascular ultrasound.
He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine
in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal
medicine. Dr. Davis is a member of the American College of Cardiology,
the American Heart Association, the Shreveport Medical Society,
and the Louisiana State Medical Society. |
